Meet our new Executive Director...Vanessa Vogel-Farley!

We are pleased to announce that Vanessa Vogel-Farley is the new Executive Director of Dup15q Alliance. After a detailed and extensive search, which produced more than 50 high-quality candidates, Vanessa was unanimously chosen by the Board of Directors. She brings with her prior scientific knowledge of dup15q syndrome, proven leadership and management skills, and experience working with special needs children, clinics and non-profit organizations. Please join me in welcoming Vanessa to Dup15q Alliance.

Most recently, Vanessa was the Director of Operations for ACEing Autism and worked as an independent research consultant.  She brings a background that will allow her to “hit the ground running” with our science initiatives, as well as an organizational background that will help lead us into our third decade as a non-profit.  She values and is committed to working with our children and their special needs.

She has huge shoes to fill as she follows Nicole Cleary and Kadi Luchsinger in the role of Executive Director.  Vanessa is excited to get started and will be attending our science meeting and Board meeting at the end of July.  She met many of you at our family conference in Orlando last year, as she was helping with one of the research studies, and looks forward to working with all our families.

I would be remiss if I didn’t add how grateful we are for the generous, loving service that Kadi Luchsinger provided for us for well over a decade.  She has touched so many of our families and coerced us to reach higher each year.  She will continue to help Vanessa transition into the job and volunteer where she can in the future.  Thanks, Kadi!

Regards,
Tom Doyle
