Hello Everybody! 2019 Conference planning has been underway and we are very excited about the progress that we have made so far. We are constantly striving to approach each new year with new and fresh ideas while maintaining the core sessions that are a must for when a new family enters our Alliance. Our aim is to reach not only reach first time attendees, but to also include new and relevant information for more veteran attendees. In working with Vanessa, as well as our Conference Committee, we talked about how can we make this happen. We have made sure to keep the “must haves” but to also include more out of the box sessions to allow our more veteran families the opportunity to be educated and inspired by others.
With all that said…we have some exciting news to share…. hotel registration is now open. You can book your hotel to reserve your rooms TODAY! The hotel has a few accessible rooms, so be sure to let them know if you need one when registering. The hotel is also confident that ALL dietary needs can be met. This includes keto, kosher and more. Just be sure to state your needs when registering.
But there is still the opportunity of our families to receive free registrations as well as free hotel room night stays is by hosting a fundraiser. This initiative is to allow families to earn rewards for their hard work and to lessen the cost of the conference for them. Any questions on this initiative, please call the Alliance.
In the end, we are continuously working hard to provide an experience that will allow you to feel it was all worth it. The link for conference registration will be released soon. You will be able to register for the conference with a “pay as you go” or pay later approach. This opens up the doors for families to budget the expense of the trip or to even put it on their holiday wish list for their own families to know what they want for the holidays. How many times are you asked “what would you like?” So maybe this year, you can tell them…”I would really like to go to the 2019 Dup15q Family Conference in Houston, TX”.
Stay tuned for more info…
Can’t wait to see you all of you! Thank you!
