On Sunday 8th October 2017, I am running Miles for Myles at the Sheffield 10 10 10 to raise awareness and funds for Dup15q Alliance.
Myles is a 5 year old energetic little boy from Sheffield. He was diagnosed in May 2017 with interstitial Dup15q after querying an autism diagnosis. He presents with a severe speech delay which causes frustration and anxiety. Myles is very sociable and loves his older sister Isabel (8) as well as Buzz and Woody and playing on his Spider-Man scooter.
Getting the word out about dup15q syndrome is a key piece of the Alliance’s mission.
Their fundraising mission is simple: encourage personal philanthropy that helps underwrite research, potential treatments, and a variety of support opportunities for affected children and their families.
